In today’s world, women safety has become a major issue of concern all over as they find it difficult to move freely around for their office and domestic work in spite of enjoying the equality rights and productive laws prevalence in the nation.The purpose of this project is to develop a suitable gadget (RAKSHAK), which can protect the women under such situation. With the development of this novel device, the risk of occurrence of female assault will get greatly reduced. The gadget will be an inexpensive and user friendly electronic device which will minimize the risk apart from providing a quick and instantaneous notification. It will act as an instantaneous action thereby protecting them against such criminal situation.The device is based on state of art electronic circuit design which can be used by any individual under any unsocial/unfavorable situations. It is based on the remote wireless communication and satellite based communication system protocols.
Title of the Project: Quality Assessment of Grain (Basmati Rice) based on Inferential Sensing Techniques

To evolve and freeze a technique for on-site quality assessment of high price export oriented grains (Basmati Rice).There are huge transactions of variety of grains at the mandi’s level for different cash-crops across thousands of trading centers where farming and the trading community meet for sale/purchase purposes. There are no standard acceptable methods for quantification of quality parameters in such commercial exchange houses in assuring the correct price. There is a dire need to develop a proper instrumentation system of quality assessment conforming to quality standards acceptable to all.. Presently it is done by the experienced human judgment based on sight, feel and even taste of the grain which often lead to the subjectiveness and disputes.There are bulk purchasing done by the government departments through its Food Corporation units spread all over the country for the procurement as well as for preservation purposes for timely release of quota as per the policy norms.The objective of this project proposal therefore is to evolve a technique based on inferential sensing through instrumental methods for on-site measurement of some key quality parameters. The online measurement of size, shape, geometry and mass of the particular grain is monitored to run an algorithm based on soft-computing technique to extract a figure of merit of grain. Further, moisture content of grain plays a key role in the quality assessment and also need to be monitored which primarily decide the shelf – life during short / long term storage conditions. The project therefore aims towards the development of a working lab scale prototype unit for generalized applications in grain but initially for quantifying the quality of basmati rice which has ample scope for implementation due to its high export potential and demand to meet international quality standards

Library Management system

The project titled Library Management System is Library management software for monitoring and controlling the transactions in a library. The project “LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” is developed in JSP, which mainly focuses on basic operations in a library like adding new member, new books, CD’s, Magazines and updating new information, searching books and members and facility to issue and return books. “Library Management System” is a windows application written for 64-bit Windows operating systems, designed to help users maintain and organize library. This software is easy to use for both beginners and advanced users. It features a familiar and well thought-out, an attractive user interface, combined with strong searching Insertion and reporting capabilities. The report generation facility of library system helps to get a good idea of which are the books borrowed by the members, makes users possible to generate reports’ hard copy.
Automatic College Bell

As we see in school and colleges, after the end of each lecture, there is a system of ringing the bell. This is to indicate the end of the lecture. And for this purpose, there is a requirement of a continuous observation of time, so that the bell rings exactly at the end of the lecture. But this whole process can be automated through the help of microcontroller, which has been done in the project “Automatic College Bell”. The project is based on interfacing of RTC and microcontroller for keeping account of the time and date. Also the LCD interface is provided to display the exact time and date counted by the RTC.
